Education

My coaching background in education is diverse and rich in texture. Having spent twenty plus years of my life teaching and mentoring students, I feel that my strength is in listening and creating new ideas for possibility. My background in communication and coaching, lends itself to facilitating workshops and helping people to set goals for the future. I coach all aspects of education. The following is an example of some of the work that I have done in education.

• Developed education programs in Tanzania and Uganda, East Africa
• Education niche organizer for the Coaches Training Institute. This web site is designed to support teachers, students, and administrators in all areas of education.
• Coaching graduate students to create structures for thesis and dissertation papers

• Presented research at Denver University in the field of adult literacy
• Facilitated workshops for adult literacy and vocational training programs
• Guest lecturer at the University of London presenting multicultural curriculum

Nonprofit

I have been coaching and consulting with nonprofit organizations for the last ten years. During this time, I have facilitated workshops and directed the education programs for them.

My Marlene Assell Scholarship button addresses the work that I have done with Global Partners for Development, a nonprofit organization that works specifically in East Africa. However, I have also worked with additional organizations.
