V.O.I.C.E.S. of Kilimanjaro Girls
by Dani Oneko
February 5 2008
View us as leaders, singing and dancing to our hearts' content
Organizing community Oceans of change Overflowing from our acquired wisdom
Interesting Intervals from Africa to India Inspire Integrity of Insights
Collaborative Cooperation Constitutes our Cycle of Civilization
Elementary Education Established our Evolution and Encourages our Essence
Single Sexual Segregation Summarizes and Seals our Simple Stories
Inability is our label, progressive Interference is the Intellectual norm
Confidence is Contradicted and our Chalice Corrupted
Exploitation of our Energies, so we don't Enjoy our Environment
Emotional Expansion is unimaginable, so is that Extra Expectation
Social Systems and Styles Silence and Stigmatize our Souls
Opinions we have plenty Of, Occupational Options, none
Visits to the depths of our Vision are few and unappreciated
Intervals of Implied Impossibility eat at our Integrity
Coldly Circumcising our Confidence and Clamor for College
Soon though our Senses will Sponsor Surreal Surprises
Shortly our Sensual Segregation will be our Solid Strength
Venomous Virtues of our ancestors' graves are Vile and Vindictive
Surely this Scholarship Sisterhood must be our Security our Solution
Oranges and plenty Of fruit give us arms like Octopus
Each like an Elephant Enormous yet Elegantly Extending our Expiration
Congruence must be near for our Comrades and Co-Creators
In deed we aspire for Improvements, Internally and Internationally |
