New Leaders
Institute Workshop for New Leaders will be introducing a new workshop for The Mentoring Alliance, piloting a workshop for Mentors and Mentees to further better communication and connection. Dr. Lea will lead this very cutting edge experience for 10 adults and 10 kids on March 10th. The purpose of this workshop is to foster leadership concepts between Mentors and Mentees who spend time together, play together and work together.

Leaders. Strength in Community. Dr. Lea co-lead a four day intensive, New Leaders course in Boston, on April, 23-26, 2009. This course is designed to empower teens to discover the leader within, and to create a future that includes giving what they learn to their communities and their world. Soka
University In January, 2009, Dr. Lea lead a three day intensive class for international students at Soka University in Aliso Viejo, California. In partnership with the University, students will learn about Emotional Intelligence, in addition to building on personal strengths. They will be challenged to create their own personal style of leadership and take it into the world, by designing a group project that is challenging and in alignment with their values and personal style of leadership. theme is empowerment of girls through leadership workshops in both Kenya
and Tanzania. The workshops will be led by Dr. Linda Lea and colleagues
for the Marlene Assell Scholarship girls in
both Kenya and Tanzania and will provide a personal connection with the
girls for all who attend.
